This two-minute abstraction by David Lowery was produced for a collection of politically themed short films which aired on PBS in the two weeks before the 2004 Presidential Elections. Somehow, Lowery managed to lose the original project files for this film, so aside from the master tape that exists wherever archived PBS tapes go, the only copy in existence is this one, which is actually a slightly earlier draft – it’s almost the same as it was when it aired, but the compositing isn’t quite perfected.
